About the Project

This film hopes to capture the current culture of 4th and 5th generation commercial fishermen working the Ohio River Valley.
We want to document the struggles with making a living on the river as well as fishing for asian carp (an invasive species) which threatens the environment and population of the native fish.

Affected People and Places by Asian Carp

Western Kentucky, specifically including: Ballard, Calloway, Carlisle, Fulton, Graves, Hickman, Livingston, Marshall, McCracken and Trigg Counties

Commercial Fishermen

Sport Fisherman

Industries supporting lake recreation and sport including, boat sales, gas and convenience stores, resorts, restaurants and hotels.
